Expat spouses face a unique challenge. Having moved to a new country in support of their partner’s career, they have to find their feet again. The thought of rebuilding a career in a new place is both exciting and a bit scary, at the same time. With new opportunities also come new challenges such as lack of a network, cultural differences and an incomplete understanding of the local job market.

I started Spouse Trail to narrate stories of career-focused expat spouses, here in the Netherlands. These stories present wonderful insights on courage, determination and optimism as the expat spouses fought the odds and reaped success.
